We are a group of fourteen faculty members, two staff and a varying number of students dedicated to serving the public good through accelerating discovery in physics and astronomy.

Our professors are leaders in their field, whether research-focused or teaching-focused. They work with a mission to provide quality access to physics coursework for all students.

In addition, DU is home to an award-winning chapter of the national Society of Physics Students (SPS), a student-led group that meets regularly and sponsors a number of local outreach events year round including Physics Night at Elitch Gardens.
